Rabbi Gedalia Oberlander is a distinguished Halachic authority, prolific Torah author, and revered community leader in the Jewish world. Born in 1967 (5727), Rabbi Oberlander has a unique blend of deep Torah scholarship and a passion for communal leadership. He currently serves as the Rabbi of the Chabad community in Kingston, Pennsylvania, where he is dedicated to strengthening Jewish life and observance.

 

Education and Background:
Rabbi Oberlander was born into a prominent rabbinic family. His father, Rabbi Yechiel (Michael) Oberlander, was the head of the Pupa Chassidic community. He began his Torah studies at the Pupa Yeshiva and maintained close ties with the Pupa Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Greenwald. His studies later brought him to Yeshivas Chachmei Lublin under Rabbi Shmuel Halevi Wosner, and during this time, he also learned from Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Landau, grandson of the esteemed Rabbi Yaakov Landau, the Chief Rabbi of Bnei Brak. It was during these formative years that Rabbi Oberlander deepened his connection to the Chabad movement.

• Founder of Heichal Menachem, Monsey, NY: Rabbi Oberlander established this center for Chassidic learning and oversaw its Beis Medrash, "Ner Yisroel," providing spiritual guidance to countless individuals.
   

• Halachic Contributions: Known for his depth of knowledge in Halacha, Rabbi Oberlander is a sought-after expert in kashrut and Jewish law. He is also a member of the General Rabbinical Council of Lubavitch, offering leadership and guidance to the wider Chabad community.
   

• Educator and Mentor: Rabbi Oberlander is celebrated for his ability to inspire others through his teachings and writings, which combine traditional Jewish wisdom with contemporary relevance.
